How are we different from other firms?

We are progressive professionals – we stand apart from the rest. Our mission is to revolutionise the surveying profession, advocating for thorough Home Surveys and Valuations that are carried out with the necessary time and attention. Unlike fast produced, content-lacking reports generated quickly at low costs, we aspire for positive change and we do our reports properly. We provide serious, tailored surveys at fair prices, ensuring a superior standard of service.

What Are Your Fees?

We provide competitive and excellent value all-in quotations without any hidden fees. Our fees are determined by the property’s size, value, location, and the complexity. For a free no obligation quote, please do not hesitate to contact us on Tel: 020 7387 3777 or Mob: 075 4444 5050 or email us at info@andromedasurveyors.co.uk

How long do surveys take?

We are proud to be one of very few surveying firms that actually spends the time to do things properly. Level 3 surveys typically take anywhere from 4 – 7 hours on site, as a minimum and Level Two surveys usually take 2-4 hours, depending of course on the complexity of the building.

When Will I Receive My Report?

Our reports typically have a turnaround time of approximately 2 to 4 working days. This can vary based on the level and complexity of the survey. We believe in precision and accuracy over speed and tick-boxing, and we don’t believe quality reports can be turned around in a quicker timeframe.

Where Are You Based And Where Do You Carry Out Surveys?

We are based in London and operate across London and the Home Counties.

Can I Be Present At The Survey?

We will not be able to have clients or contractors present during our inspections. This is for health and safety liability reasons, and also in order to ensure the work is undertaken without any distraction. We can, however, offer full support for any queries post report delivery.

Are you RICS qualified?

Yes, all of our surveyors are MRICS (Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). This is a higher level of qualification compared to AssocRICS. We are also fully qualified registered valuers and have decades of experience in real estate and land engineering.

Which survey should I chose?

The choice of survey largely depends on the property’s type, size, and style. Our Level 3 Survey, previously known as a Building Survey, is the most detailed and comprehensive option, and is particularly suited for older properties. This survey includes photographs and adheres closely to RICS standards. It’s ideal for older and larger buildings, those that have undergone alterations or redevelopment, building structures with unique designs and construction features, and listed buildings (those recognised for their special architectural or historical significance).
On the other hand, the RICS Level 2 Survey, commonly referred to as a HomeBuyer report, is a more cost-effective option. It is best suited for smaller properties in good condition, new build flats, and properties built in a common style using conventional materials. This report is recommended for buildings that have undergone minimal alterations and for those who do not plan to make any future alterations.
